My First Album Review – The Process by: Angel Victoria

She’s come to set the captives free from wrong thinking, mistaken identity, and a spirit of rejection. It balances well with overtones of gentleness and compassion. The album is diverse in its ability to relate to women and men as she calls both to purity and the cause of Christ. While she is speaking to women of all ages in the song, “Mirror, Mirror,” men can also be encouraged to know their true value and strength through God’s eyes. “Die Daily” and “Child of a King” are also songs that minister to a generation consumed by a world out to steal the very essence of who called has called them to be. I look forward with joyful anticipation of Angel Victoria’s future works.

Peace Be With You

Season to season,
Sunrise to sunset,
We are gradually separated from the ones we love.

May the Heavenly Father give you rest for your spirit,

May His Word be a soothing balm for your heartache,

And may God’s strong right arm to lift the burden from your shoulders.

Just as the sun evaporated the morning dew,
May the dreary days be removed from your memory

And only happier days, snap shots in time remain

May He grant you closure

As He strengthens the vision and purpose He has for you.

Peace be with you

“Pure Adoration”

Hello all! It’s been a while since I’ve posted any poetry. 🙂 I recently joined a writing critique group, so it has taken me into some article writing. (I need to stay focused, lol).
I pray you all had a blessed (and relaxing) Thanksgiving!

Tears are falling,

And they won’t stop.

I need to feel Your presence.

Your mighty hand will remove

All sorrow,

All inadequacy,

All affliction.

I am being refined by Your Word.

Cleansed of unrighteous

Through Your sacrifice,

The Blood of the Lamb

Who was slain.

Innocent life taken,

So I could be born-again.

The Pursuer

Hello all! 🙂

Hopefully, this update wasn’t too long overdue. I have a new prose to share. It’s mostly encouragement for the ladies (sorry fellas). But I may do so in the future. ^^

I performed this prose at a local outreach called The Garment on Friday, July 22nd.

My sisters, my sisters… don’t you know how much Jesus loves you?

He made you special in every way. He took great time and care forming you. Before you were even born, He called you by name.

He pursued you at every turn, waiting for you to see just how much He loves you. How He moves on your behalf at a moment’s notice, how He protected you in your darkest hours.

My sisters, my sisters… don’t you know how much Jesus loves you?

He did what no man could ever do for you. He laid down His very life for you. And His sacrifice gave you eternal life… a hope… and a future.

Place your faith in Him, the creator & lover of your soul. He hears every cry, He sees every tear, He feels every heartbreak.

He was there when you lost your innocence. He was there when you were abandoned. He was there when you thought your whole world was being torn asunder.

But He is a father to the fatherless. He has not missed one, single moment of your life since He spoke you into existence.

Your rejection, He accepts you.

Your affliction, He takes it on Himself.

Your weariness, He refreshes you.

Your grief, He sends His Holy Spirit to comfort you.

He will take your burdens. You were never meant to carry them.

You are the bride, and He is the bridegroom. Let Him take care of you.

How He loves us

We constantly run from God. But He loves us – wholly, immeasurably, infinitely – He loves us.

As we chase after frivolities – relationships, material gains, promotions, status – He loves us.

As we sit awake at night – in tears, in worry, in chaos – He loves us.

Do we ever realize just how much He cares for us? Or will our epiphany occur once we’ve gone to glory? Why wait? Why not indulge in the fullness of His love now?

I want to seek Him as often as I can. I want to know Him more intimately as each day goes by. I want to embrace the lover and creator of my soul.

Heaven is far off (Lord willing), so I am eager to experience it here on Earth by resting in the peace of His presence.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, KJV).

Sometimes God wants you to come into the fullness of who you are in Christ before He entrusts you with His most precious provisions. It does not mean you will not experience promotions or answered prayers. It means He cannot take you to the next level until you have completely mastered the one before it. To use a secular analogy… toddlers don’t become leaders of Fortune 500 companies.

… to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming” (Ephesians 4:12-14, NIV).

‘What-if’ moments

From time to time I find myself wondering what could have been. Then, I remind myself that life moves forward and not background…

Do not get caught up in ‘what might have been.’ Do not become distracted by or preoccupied with ‘what-ifs.’ Refrain from letting your mind continually analyze why certain things did or did not occur. Instead set your sights on the endless possibilities and provisions of Almighty God, “whose ways are not our ways and whose thoughts are higher than our thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9, NIV).

Random Musings (“My God”)

It has surely been a while… but I have returned, lol. Updates are coming soon. For now, here is something I wrote a while back during one of my devotionals. I believe it was written between 2008 – 2010… apologies for the vague timeline… :-/

“My God”

My God,

I cling to your promises.

They give me peace and bring pause to my heartache.

There are times where I feel so alone,

But Your words

And Your Son, Lord Jesus,

Comfort me like nothing on this earth.

My 25th birthday

Two weeks ago (June 11th) I celebrated my 25th birthday. It was a very low-key affair. I know, I know… I said I was going to go all out this year (especially after the skydiving fiasco) but I was too busy. Thankful to God for work, of course. But I really was too busy to do anything outside of going out to dinner with family and friends. :-/

However… hehehe… skydiving is still on! I’m looking to jump in August. ^^

Not much else to report… sorry. I did want to thank my family and friends for coming through on my b-day. Circumstances can be frustrating at times so I’m thankful God has placed people in my life who are there for me when I need them. Whether it’s encouragement in the form of a hug or a reality check, they come through for me.

Thankful for life and many more opportunities to serve God!

Blessings! 🙂
